Gandalf is on the move! The team over at TheOneRing.net has kicked off a fun fan initiative, which they’re calling The Gandalf World Tour. The goal is to document our favorite wizard’s travels, with pictures and video of him at amazing landmarks.
Two statues (nicknamed Fandalf and made by Weta Workshop and Sideshow Collectibles) will be out seeking photo ops in spots suitable for a fantasy icon in the real world, before the tour concludes at San Diego Comic-Con 2012. He will make his first appearance during TheOneRing.net’s road trip to Dragon Con 2011, after that, fans worldwide will have the chance to pose with him and pass him along. Gandalf’s adventures will be documented right here on The Hobbit Blog, at GandalfWorldTour.com, on Facebook, Twitter, and at TheOneRing.net. Photos will be hosted on Flickr and linked to the Group Gandalf World Tour.
